ACT II

I would tell Brutus that he should not join it yet. This is because we don't really know if Cassius is going to be loyal. Since Caesar doesn't trust Cassius, and Brutus is such good friends with Caesar, he should make sure that Cassius won't betray him later. Also, Brutus is just assuming that Caesar will be a bad leader too. He even says that Caesar hasn't given him a reason to be suspicious when he says, "I have not known when his affections swayed more than his reason. But 'tis a common proof that lowliness is young ambition's ladder" (50). In this quote, Brutus is saying that he is not going to give Caesar a chance because of previous leaders. I would inform Brutus that he should wait before he joins until he has a real reason to join. Also, isn't killing someone immoral?

ACT I

I think that Cassius believes he has good intentions for the Roman public. However, Cassius isn't basing his opinions on facts, just what he assumes. Also, he doesn't believe Caesar is any different from him, "I was born free as Caesar, so were you" (34). I believe that a leader is made, not born so to me, the fact that they are both born the same doesn't matter. Caesar could have become a leader through his experiences. I personally do not like Cassius because he is just assuming that Caesar will be a bad leader, and he is going to act on his assumptions by killing him, which is completely ridiculous.
